In 2000, the Deephaven Historical Society was organized by Tom Anderson who was at the time was mayor of Deephaven to inspire an appreciation for local history. The society, which is an all-volunteer group, organized a board to preserve and protect the history of Deephaven. The board meets monthly to organize and plan field trips and lectures throughout the year from local citizens and area historians. The Deephaven Historical Society also publishes several newsletters each year for its members.
Since May 1st, 2002, the Deephaven Historical Society has been a tax exempt 501 (C) (3) charitable organization. We recently have created an archive at the Deephaven Village Hall to accept donations. The Deephaven Historical Society depends upon our memberships and donations to achieve our goals of preserving and protecting Deephaven history.
